With the increasing investment in research and development of domestic scientific instruments, China's food safety scientific instruments with independent intellectual property rights have also made great breakthroughs. For example, the Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometer (AFS) with independent intellectual property rights in China has its own characteristics and advantages. It can detect arsenic, lead, mercury, tin, selenium, germanium, antimony and other elements. It has the characteristics of high sensitivity, low detection limit, simultaneous detection of multiple elements and valence analysis, and it is cheaper than similar international products. The detection of toxic and harmful elements in food safety inspection can basically use domestic instruments, which is especially suitable for grass-roots food safety inspection institutions at county and prefecture (city) levels. Many instruments and equipment for sample pretreatment have been able to provide commercial instruments with performances close to those of similar foreign products in China, such as Beijing Jitian Instrument Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xinyi Microwave Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Ruili Analytical Instrument Co., Ltd. and other products.


With the development of rapid food safety testing instruments in China, various domestic instrument manufacturers have developed and launched a variety of rapid food safety testing instruments, which have played an important role in dealing with sudden food safety incidents, market circulation, on-site screening at import and export ports, etc. Such as: small spectrophotometer, enzyme label instrument, etc., which provide a strong guarantee for the rapid detection of toxic and harmful residues in food.


Development Status and Challenges of Environmental Monitoring Industry


China's environmental monitoring system has changed with the development of the times, from single environmental analysis to physical monitoring, biological monitoring, ecological monitoring, remote sensing and satellite monitoring, and from intermittent monitoring to automatic continuous monitoring. The monitoring scope has developed from a section to a city, a region and even the whole country. Generally speaking, China's environmental monitoring technology has developed rapidly and has great potential, and the gap with foreign advanced level is narrowing, especially in spectral environmental monitoring technology and instruments; In some major national projects, the instruments independently developed by China also play an increasingly important role.


Liu Wenqing, academician of China Academy of Engineering and director of Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, China Academy of Sciences, believes that although the localization of environmental monitoring equipment is gradually improving, there are still some problems in domestic environmental monitoring instruments and equipment, such as low automation and some key components still being controlled by people. There are still some problems in time, space, data reliability and monitoring methods of some special pollutants in China's environmental monitoring technology, such as: imperfect monitoring system, failure to reach the international level, poor performance of monitoring equipment, limited investment in technology funds and so on.


China's monitoring technology needs further research and development. Many departments continue to use backward monitoring technology and equipment, which have low-grade technology, extremely unstable monitoring performance and low research and development ability, seriously affecting the quality and level of testing. Most environmental monitoring equipment manufacturers in China are small in scale and low in technology, and their products basically belong to middle and low grade, which is far from meeting the new requirements of the development of environmental monitoring in China.


The quality, technical standards and methods of environmental monitoring need to be improved. Environmental monitoring stations at all levels generally pay more attention to the internal quality control of laboratories than the whole process quality management of environmental monitoring, and the supervision and management of monitoring quality are not enough, and the self-restraint ability and external supervision mechanism need to be improved.


Looking at the development status of China's instrumentation industry, it is not difficult to find that there is still a big gap between domestic instrumentation and foreign well-known enterprises in technology, which is an urgent problem for China to face up to and solve in the new development period. On the other hand, it also shows that China's domestic instrument industry has great potential for growth. At the same time, with the continuous improvement of China's economic level, the requirements of the country and people in food safety and environmental monitoring are getting higher and higher, and the requirements for domestic instruments and meters have reached a new height. In the future, the market scale of domestic instruments and meters in China will usher in a greater breakthrough.
