Powder density refers to the mass of powder per unit volume. Because there are gaps between particles or inside particles in the powder, the density of the powder is usually less than the true density of the corresponding substance. Powder density can be divided into bulk density and tap density according to different testing methods. The loose density refers to that the powder sample fills the measuring cup with a known volume evenly and continuously in a loose state, and the loose density of the powder sample can be calculated by weighing the mass of the measuring cup and the powder sample. The tap density refers to the density of the powder contained in the container after being tapped under specified conditions.

HY-100 powder density tester has independent intellectual property rights according to the national standard GB/T5162-2006/ISO3953:1993 (determination of tap density of metal powder) and referring to the powder density tester independently developed and manufactured by the United States Pharmacopoeia. The instrument covers all the indexes in international GB/T5162-2006/1ISO3953:1993.
